Greasy Grit is a heritage green bean from the Appalachia region. This type of bean is not greasy or oily, rather the name refers to the smooth shiny appearance of the bean. Enjoy smaller pods fresh tossed in a summer salad (or on its own!), or pan fry lightly in the husk for a delectable and savory bean. We pick our green beans regularly, allowing you to reap the rewards with incredibly fresh and tender green beans.
Note: These are a string bean, so larger pods may need to be strung before consuming. Younger pods should need minimal stringing.
